Selina Chadwick

Selina Chadwick has been teaching Design and Technology since 2007 and is currently Head of Department at St Philomena’s Catholic High School for Girls, in London. She has a range of experience in pedagogy, curriculum design, Health and Safety, and departmental administration and also mentors PGCE students. Selina is also qualified as a Maths and Physics teacher and an advocate for encouraging more women into STEM careers. Over time, Selina has developed the curriculum offer to challenge perceptions of Design and Technology and to increase its take-up into GCSE and beyond. She has recently done significant work on improving students’ retention of knowledge and has contributed to Oliver Caviglioli’s 2021 book, “Organise Ideas: Thinking By Hand, Extending the Mind”.
